Darwin Respiratory and Sleep Health is a modern clinic based at the Darwin Private Hospital. It was set up in September 2011 and is led by a specialist Respiratory & Sleep Physician based in Darwin. The clinic treats a range of Territorians affected with sleep disorders such as Narcolepsy, Insomnia and Obstructive Sleep Apnoea.

Obstructive Sleep Apnoea is the most common organic sleep disorder and is grossly under diagnosed in the general population. Loud snoring, severe daytime sleepiness, lack of energy or concentration and waking up
gasping or choking are some of the signs to look out for. If you want to get checked out by the clinic you will need a referral from your GP.

Obstructive Sleep Apnoea is usually diagnosed with an overnight sleep study.”
