Dancing Together Initiative

The Dancing Together Initiative is a not for profit dance program that has been created by the Latin Dance community in Mackay.

In 2014 we would like the support of the community to expand our vision and support this initiative that is close to the Management Committee's hearts. We would like to give the passion of Latin Dancing to the next generation.

The DTI (Dancing Together Initiative) is focused on the integration of disadvantaged and disabled children in the Mackay region. We need to support our next generation of Mackay children as they are our future.

We Aim to teach social communication, self-confidence, self-awareness skills through learning about Latin Dance, Music and Culture. This in return will make our students a lot more confident and raise there own self-belief. To create a higher level of social interaction and awareness and to teach them the skill of Latin Dancing.

The integration of so many youth with varying backgrounds and hardships in their lives, working side by side as one unit.

We have asked world renowned Latin Dance artist Jaime Jesus to assist us in making this vision a reality. Jaime is the Director of Latin Dance Australia the largest Latin Dance studio in Australia.

Jaime has agreed to come on board as he would love to see this initiative Australia wide.
