Dalkeith Primary School

Dalkeith Primary School is an Independent Public School set amongst the lush green trees of Dalkeith. It first opened in 1938 and through the decades has maintained its charm, heritage and reputation for being an exemplary school for children from kindergarten to year 7.

‘Celebrating Success’ is a school focus. All teachers encourage students to celebrate academic, physical, artistic and social success. We foster an extended family environment where emphasis is placed upon critical thinking, respectful attitudes and success for everyone. Dalkeith Primary School achieves outstanding results in academic, sporting, music and artistic pursuits. This is validated in NAPLAN and MSE testing where school averages are consistently significantly above the state and nation averages.

Kindergarten students begin their journey in a highly supported, stimulating, play based learning program off the school site. The journey continues onsite, with a fulltime Pre-primary to year 7 program. Curriculum delivery is supported by a range of specialist teachers in dedicated learning centres. Students are provided with a plethora of unique opportunities including; sailing, a senior school musical, singing club, gardening, interschool sporting competitions, art exhibitions and mathematics, science and English competitions. A highlight for the year 7 students is the Sydney/Canberra camp that is highly educational and memorable.

Parents and community members play an active role in providing quality resources and opportunities to enhance and support the learning programs and environment.
