A New World
By way of background:
Julie Davey had been our Customer Service Manager for 2 years until September 3 when she was tragically and unexpectedly taken from us. During her time at The Property Box, Julie had identified that housing was becoming increasingly more unaffordable for many families.
Julie herself started with a meagre property in Victoria - moving an old house to a block of land and renovating it into a home. Over time she progressed to a much grander situation and had started building a property portfolio herself.
Always with her feet firmly on the ground and dreams of better things !!
Julie re-entered the workforce to provide a better education for her children as she wanted them to go on to greater things within the community.
In addition, she had a dream to help young women in general to obtain independence and a better life.
Julie’s dream was to help people who otherwise were unable to get a foothold into the market due to low incomes, lender constraints, current debt levels and the like.
Much work was done in the weeks leading up to her passing and the launch of this brave new world of home ownership, so…
Julies Legacy will live on…
As part of what we will do here at The Property Box we will continue Julie’s Legacy.
We will undertake to assist all people who are willing to save and commit to do the things necessary for owning their own home, through scholarship or sponsorship we will seek to assist young women in general to obtain independence and a better life to assist those who have a dream to succeed in business or is academically gifted but may not have resources to continue with their study.
You may know someone that we can help, someone that may not be able to afford a $500,000 home but would be happy with something maybe a little less grand, opportunities start at $280,000.
