ABOUT THE EPIC:
The award-winning Flight Centre Active Travel Cycle Epic is a great mountain biking tradition that began in 2002 with a bunch of mates challenging themselves on a 117km epic trail ride. In 2003, the inaugural Australian mountain bike marathon started a new era in the sport.

Over the past 12 years, the EPIC has gone through multiple evolution's, most recently due to the 2011 floods which destroyed much of the track infrastructure. The track-building team have worked hard to develop extensive tracks of an international standard - creating rides that cater for different ages and skill levels.

The EPIC weekend has something for everyone, from the novice rider through to the professional, offering six races and several categories to challenge and reward riders.

Now in its 12th year, the Flight Centre Active Travel Cycle Epic marathon is the ultimate in gritty challenges.

Q. When do online entries close?
A. Saturday 7th September 2013 midnight

Q. Where can I collect my registration pack?
A. Registration is located in the Laidley room at Spicers Hidden Vale from 0800 hrs Saturday (follow the signs). You can only collect jerseys and merchandise at the event (not beforehand).

Q. Can I enter on the day?
A. Sorry, entries will not be accepted on the day of the Event.

Q. Is camping available Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights?
A. Yes, please pay the appropriate camp fees when entering.

Q. Can I ride at Spicers Hidden Vale before the Epic.
A. Yes. Day pass access $10. FREE if you print Epic entry confirmation. See reception for a trail map.The full Epic course is unable to be ridden before Event, only trails open and signed.

Q. So how do I get to Spicers Hidden Vale?
A. Easy! Spicers Hidden Vale is just 55 minutes drive from Brisbane. Follow the signs to Ipswich, then the Warrego Hwy, then all directions to Rosewood and Grandchester.

An EPIC location with EPIC thrills.

The Flight Centre Cycle EPIC is based at Spicers Hidden Vale, Grandchester. Less an hours' drive from Brisbane, Spicers Hidden Vale is a 12,000 acre country farm with a luxurious retreat plus over 100km of mountain bike tracks weaving through the Lockyer Valley. Full-time track-builder, Hayden Brooks, is constantly searching for new ways to challenge and thrill riders.
