More about Curtin Flying Club

Ever wanted to own your own fleet of Cessna aircraft? Well now you can!

Become a member of Curtin Flying Club and you will not only have access to our quality Cessna aircraft at the cheapest advertised hire rates in Perth (and possibly Australia), you will become part-owner of your very own modern fleet!

We love flying and want to take to the skies as affordably and safely as we can. To achieve this, Curtin Flying Club operates as a registered non-profit organisation and updates its aircraft on a regular basis.

Because each member effectively owns a little piece of their own aircraft, they are expected to take pride in their fleet and treat their fellow aviators with respect. To this end, you will need to demonstrate your flying skills and show a commitment to the club (including looking after your aircraft).

Don’t worry if you have low hours or haven’t flown for a while – we can team you with a qualified instructor to get you up to speed (and in the air) in no time! There’s even a social membership option.

With a long and colourful history in Perth’s aviation scene, Curtin Flying Club commenced operations in mid-1975 with a leased Cessna 150. It now owns and operates two modern Cessna 172SP aircraft that are among the best value in Australia.

Our planes are based at the Royal Aero Club of Western Australia (RACWA) at Jandakot Airport in Perth, Western Australia. Membership is open to any licensed pilot or social member approved by the committee.

Curtin Flying Club is now proudly affiliated with the University Flying Club, giving our members access to even cheaper flying in the club’s brand-new CSA PiperSport Light Sports Aircraft (LSA), another glass-cockpit gem.
