China Southern West Australia Flying College (CSWAFC) takes pride in the very high standards of flight training it has achieved, exceeding the rigorous levels set by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Australia. Established in 1993, the school specializes in training ab initio students to become multi-engine instrument-rated airline first officers. Our unique mix of the best training aircraft, expert people, and excellent facilities allows us to graduate over 200 cadets every year. These pilots then return to China Southern Airlines, one of the fastest growing airlines in the world.
CSWAFC operates as a joint venture between China Southern Airlines and CAE. The school's training program is authorized by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Australia (CASA) and the General Administration of Civil Aviation of China (CAAC).
The CSWAFC operates from two training bases -- Jandakot Airport and Merredin Airport. The facilities currently have capacity for 280 cadets and include 45 single-engine and twin-engine turboprop aircraft and high-performance jets, flight simulation training devices, classrooms, and living accommodations.
All graduates of CSWAFC proceed to earn aircraft type ratings at the Zhuhai Flight Training Centre, a joint venture between China Southern Airlines and CAE in Zhuhai, Guandong province, China.
CAE Global Academy Perth is a joint venture between China Southern airlines and CAE. Candidates are selected and sponsored by China Southern for their ab initio training. CAE Global Academy Perth itself does not currently have open admissions for the general public.
