Diggers Randburg Rugby Club

Diggers Rugby Club will be hosting the Golden Lions Rugby Union at their home ground for a Currie Cup match versus the Cheetahs on 7 May 2016.

The Golden Lions Rugby Union (GLRU) announced that they will be taking their Currie Cup games back to grassroots level. This will be done by playing their home games at local rugby clubs in the Joburg area, and most importantly the much loved Diggers rugby club in Malanshof.

Golden Lions CEO Rudolf Straeuli said, “We’re taking the game back to our grassroots and our stakeholders.” A tender process was followed and the GLRU carried out a duo diligence audit after which these five clubs were granted the rights to host the five Currie Cup matches.
