My care philosophy is to provide care in a safe, friendly, nurturing and supportive environment. The learning environment should be stimulating, educational and developmentally appropriate. I will provide a family orientated, relaxed, secure environment for the children in my care and ensure they feel “at home.” Children are unique and learn at their own pace through play allowing their time to discover, experience and reflect on their interests and there for need a program that supports their strengths and needs through both planned and spontaneous experiences. I believe that role modelling appropriate behaviour will help children gain understanding of what is expected. I will use redirection and positive reinforcement as form of behaviour guidance. I aspire to earn and maintain the trust of parents so that they are pleased and confident that their child is safe, happy and being cared for in a way that respects their values and beliefs.
