Coragulac House was built in 1873 by the pioneering Robertson family, who owned approximately 23,000 acres in the region and were responsible for building several homestead on their run during Victoria's pastoral boom in the mid to late 19th century. The residence was sold around 1900 to the well-known Chirnside family who extended the home. The two distinctive conical towers were added around the turn of the twentieth century by a later owner.
Coragulac House contains 26 rooms spread across more than 100 squares. Designed by influential architects of the era, Davidson & Cameron the residence forms a horseshoe, with a central courtyard.
Coragulac House is nestled at the foot of the extinct volcano "Red Rock" and provides marvelous views across Lake Colac.
