Cooyar Hotel

Cooyar Hotel is a glorious old hotel with sweeping verandas that was rebuilt in 1936 after being burnt down the previous Christmas Eve. It is situated just 2 hours from either coast and Brisbane. Besides the great country food there are 9 attractive and comfortable rooms with shared bathroom/ toilets.
The Bar would be one of the friendliest in Australia with the legendry locals all happy to help/ chat/ recite poetry or just give you their take on life.
Our “OUTBACK BAR” is the scene for many a great BBQ, birthday party, wedding or just a plain great night.
Whilst Karyn, one of the proprietors, won the award of the “UGLIEST barmaid” for Queensland it is by no means true but an award that shows the generosity and true kindness of the locals and Karyn likeable and determined nature- raising in 2010, $6813 and 2011- $22800 for the leukaemia foundation.
Cooyar is famous for its annual rodeo, camp draft, agricultural show and trail bike ride. Room prices are $65.00 per double, $45.00 single, Family room ( 1 double and 2 singles ) $85.00
