Local art made by local artists. We can guarantee that our quirky handmade arts and crafts are full of Far North Queensland originality!!!

Our Gallery/shop is located in the Old Cooktown Railway Station building. 97 Charlotte Street, next to ANZAC Park.
February, 1991.The C.C.A.A. held its first meeting as an incorporation.

February 1999, the C.C.A.A. rented an Artspace for workshops under the Cook Shire Council Kindergarten lower ground floor of the old Railway Station Building.Kindergarten.

September 2001 the new CCAA Art and Craft Shop opened its doors for the first time. We had a home at last!

The shop remains manned by member artists and volunteers and the Artspace is still used for workshops.

The gallery provides local artists with a much needed space to showcase their talents and aims to inspire the local youth to participate through workshops and small events.

On display you will find strange wood work, fine furniture, quirky ceramics, paintings and original prints, jewellery and local fashion, stained glass, quilts, silk paintings and woolen crafts, handmade cards and souvenir photography.

Our friendly staff welcomes customers to browse through the shop and give directions and advice sharing local knowledge.
