Cook For A Cause

Cook For A Cause, is a business idea that started as a tiny little seed in my mind at the start of this year. It was a scary seed, that I thought was out of my league and unachievable, so I pushed it out of my mind more than once.
But it is now here and that little seed is starting to grow!!
It came to me when I was really struggling to find work and my thought process was - well I can't find a job, so why not start my own business and utilise my skills as a chef, to benefit both myself and the amazing local charities and causes that are in urgent need of support.

Well it has taken a little longer to get operational than I was hoping, but I finally have Redland council permits to cook at the Cleveland markets every Sunday. Come the new financial year, I will be buying new permits so that I can cook all over Brisbane and broaden my scope.
My main goal is to eventually progress into cooking at music festivals, school fetes, equestrian events, running meets, Gympie muster, Woodford Folk festival, the Caboolture Medieval festival, charity dinners, functions, large markets, multi-cultural festivals and even the Tamworth music festival, with many more ideas to come.
My menu is adaptable and flexible, as I cater for what the organisers require and what their main target customers will want, based on past experience.
The way I operate is, I cook on behalf of a different charity, group, or cause every month, then at the end of that month they receive a pre-determined percentage of my profits.
I do all the advertising leading up to that month, then I do the promoting during the month, which is not only for my business, but for the charity, the venue that hosts me, main suppliers and also my potential sponsors.
