Welcome to the “COALounge”

The pop-up COALounge is a new alternative albeit temporary exhibition venue for contemporary art in 208 Commercial Rd, Morwell (the old Optus shop). It will allow me to show my current work, conduct my research and interact with the community.

It's set it up like a funky living room with a Danish retro couch and lounge chairs to create a welcoming space for folks to come in and have a chat about coal, art and life in the Valley.

After studying and making art works with brown coal in the Valley over the last 5 years I’ve finally made the move to the Latrobe Valley to set up this pop-up gallery in an empty shop. It also means I can now vote here in the upcoming Federal election – something important to me as I feel passionate about local issues and the challenges facing the community.
