Climbing Wall - The Forum University of Newcastle

The Forum Climbing Wall is one of the highest in The Southern Hemisphere. Springing upwards to an awesome height of 18.5 metres and offering over 30 different routes to climb. Open to the public Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Come climb individually, with a partner or with as many friends as you like.

The Forum also offers:

• Individual climbing tuition
• Specialised climbing classes
• Group bookings for schools, scouts, sporting teams and corporate groups
• Team building sessions for Corporate Activity days
• The wall is open to children aged eight and above (14 or older to belay)

Grades currently range from 9 to 25 (First Timers to Advanced). Discounted prices for Students of UON. $5 harness hire. 2 Free sessions when a gym membership is purchased.

The Rock Climbing Gym is located on the Callaghan campus of the University of Newcastle (same building as the gym).
