Chuckleberry's Garden

I live in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges in Melbourne, Australia on a fantastic 1/2 acre block with my cheeky dog Charlie (also known as Chuckleberry). My house is old, my garden messy, and I'm very lucky.

My Nanna Lil taught me to crochet when I was a tiny girl, and it's something I've enjoyed doing on and off during my life.

in 2012 I started crocheting hats and ponchos, dolly clothes and toys for my family and friends. In 2014 I began making beanies, scarves and mittens to give to charity.

Early in 2015 I visited the Maindample studio of a very lovely lady. She spins her own wool and makes all sorts of beautiful things. She inspired me to try something different with my crochet.

Now I'm addicted to felting. I think the technical term is actually fulling, but the during the process the crocheted wool matts together to become felt-like. I love it !

In the middle of 2015 I finally gathered the courage, and enough finished items, to open an Etsy store - www.etsy.com/shop/chuckleberrysgarden. It's been great, and keeps me busy doing something I love.
