Christmas Creek Droughtmasters

Christmas Creek Droughtmasters was established by Bradley and Kerryn Piggott in 1989 as a family owned operation in the foothills of the Carnarvon Ranges. "Christmas Creek" is located approximately 220km north of Roma and 200km south-east of Emerald in the Central Highlands region of Queensland.

Our herd is bred on native grass ranges and finished on softwood scrub country to meet domestic and export markets. For 24 years we have been stringently selecting replacement females from our own breeding program for temperament, fertility, natural tick & fly resistance and foraging ability.

Our bull breeding program services our 1750 commercial breeder base as well as a stud operation of 150 females. Selling bulls annually since 1989 at the Springsure Showgrounds has seen buyers return year after year: testament to the quality of the bulls offered and our high standards.

For the first time we will have four quality registered bulls by Aldinga 07/10 at the 2013 Droughtmaster National Sale.

Purchased 2009, 07/10 was carefully chosen for his breeding: tracing back to Wingfield Boris Grand Champion Brisbane Royal 1995 and Wingfield Gilligan top priced bull National Sale 1997.
