Where did Reiki come from?

Born in Japan in the mid 19th century, Dr Mikao Usui, is responsible for the rediscovery of Reiki. He spent years in Tibetan Buddhist monestaries learning sanskrit and deciphering ancient texts in order to retrieve the lost knowledge. The exact origins, prior to his rediscovery, remain unknown. Traditional Reiki was then taught by by his successor, Dr Hayashi and then Hawayo Takata brought it to Hawaii. We are forever grateful for their assistance. What is a Reiki healer?

A Reiki healer or Reiki practitioner is a person who has had their DNA activated by way of a Reiki Attunement. Through this process the healer's chakras or physical energy centers have been cleared, opened and activated. This allows them access to the Universal Life Force Energy, or Ki. The energy flows up from the Earth into them and then into you. This energy offers tremendous benefits to both the one receiving the healing and the healer, as well...
