Cheeky Dogs

Cheeky Dog is the creation of a young Aboriginal Artist, Dion Beasley, who lives in Tennant Creek, Northern Territory (NT), Australia. Dion spent the early years of his life living in the Barkly Region, mostly in Alpurrurulum and Canteen Creek, and had minimal communication skills due to being profoundly deaf. To add to that, Dion also has Muscular Dystrophy, but has overcome many challenges and learnt to communicate through sign language and his drawings. Dion has a great sense of humour, which is reflected through his 'cheeky dog' range of artwork. Dogs have a respected place in Australian Aboriginal culture and Dion has a great talent for depicting them in a fun and entertaining way.
