Chars cafes are a place where we collaborate, learn, practice and enjoy all aspects of hospitality. The goal is to deliver beautiful coffee, good service and a seasonally based menu whilst providing an environment to nurture the talents of the service users enabling them to develop their hospitality skills. Working with Response Services, the three Chars locations give opportunity for adults with disabilities to be a part of a workplace, developing the foundations for further employment. The service users are supported to learn skills ranging from social skills and customer service through to barista expertise and an understanding of food safety, meal preparation and presentation.
