CBS Building Group

The business began in 1964 as a small, family staffed subcontract operation by William (Bill) Church (deceased). Since 1981 the business became Contract Building Services. Upon his retirement William handed control to his son Allan and by the end of 2003 had grown to a number of corporate entities under the name of CBS Building Group Pty Ltd. Allan as Managing Director has since introduced his sons David & Keith Church into the business as Directors.

CBS Building Group carries out supply and installation activities in the Construction, Building, Mining & Defence Industry, focused upon major developers, governmental construction authorities, mining industry and similar. The group is Townsville based though focused upon broader Queensland, Northern Territory, Papua New Guinea and New Zealand markets. Members of the Church Family retain 100% ownership & control of the group.

CBS Building Group has a primary office at 619 Ingham Road, Townsville and has a supply and regional management office at 10 Doyle Street, Cairns. CBS currently has a staff of 25 employees and this is expected to increase as new commercial construction activities continue to expand.
