More about Cat Boarding Melbourne

Since 2009, Cat Boarding Melbourne has been owned and operated by passionate cat lovers who understand that cats need more than a pat to purr. With your permission we encourage the cats to interact at the boarding facility whilst adhering to admission protocols. Cats naturally live in prides, so if your cat feels comfortable they are more than welcome to socialise with other cats in boarding when staying with us.

We understand that travelling in a cat box, driving in the car, and coming into a new environment can be stressful. In the suits we use feline pheromone technology, this pheromone occurs naturally in cats, making them feel safe and secure. This pheromone has been made into a synthetic form and is used to help comfort and reassure cats, prevent or reduce the stress caused to a cat during a change in their environment. Your cat will be expertly settled into their temporary home away from home.

The essence of a happy cat is environmental enrichment. The goal of environmental enrichment is to improve an animal's quality of life by increasing physical activity, stimulating natural behaviours, and preventing anti-social behaviour. Music is played throughout the cattery and we also take requests! Each suite is fitted out with fun and interactive toys to stimulate and let out the inner kitten in your cat while staying with us.

Admission Protocols

All animals must be admitted with a current F3 vaccination certificate. Vaccination is an important defence against many diseases. Your cat needs to be vaccinated within the last 12 months of boarding. If your cat has missed its yearly vaccination you will be able to board your pet with us 2 weeks after a booster vaccination.
If you wish for your feline friend to interact with our other boarders while staying with us, they need to be tested and vaccinated against FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus).
We suggest your cat is contained prior to boarding to avoid delays in admission particularly if you are due to catch a flight. While we are able to provide all the necessary cage furnishings, bringing along cats favoured bedding to use is comforting to use during the settling in period.
Please ensure your feline friend is also up to date with flea and worming treatments. If your cat presents to the cattery with flea or worming problems it will be treated at the cattery at the owner’s expense.
Cats under 12 weeks cannot be boarded at the cattery. If you have questions or concerns please call the cattery and speak to our friendly staff.
