Cast Off Sustainable Seafood Festival

After the huge success of the Cast Off Festival in 2015 it returns for its second year on March 19th, 2016. Hosted by Woy Woy Fishermen's Wharf, the festival will be a great waterfront party with a focus on sustainable seafood. The event will celebrate the Central Coast's first industry with seafood feasts, live music, cooking demonstrations, ferry rides & markets. There isn't a better spot on the Coast to celebrate what started this diverse area.

Our big news ahead Cast Off 2016, is the announcement of Stefano Manfredi as the festival’s patron. Most locals know Stefano for bringing fine dining to the Central Coast, through the iconic ‘Bells at Killcare’. An Italian born chef, author and leading exponent of modern Italian cuisine, he has opened and operated several restaurants in Sydney since 1983, most notably The Restaurant Manfredi, Bel Mondo and currently Osteria Balla.. As a regular columnist for The Sydney Morning Herald since 1988, Manfredi has also published four books, whilst becoming an active supporter for the sustainable seafood resource ‘Good Fish Project’.

Stefano is the perfect patron of Cast Off 2016, celebrating his long standing ties with the local community and recognising his ongoing support for the sustainable seafood movement.
