More about Carlton Junior FC

CARLTON JFC AUSKICK
IMPORTANT NOTES FOR SEASON 2016:

Time / Location – 9:30-11:00 Sundays from April 17th at Crawford Oval, Princes
Park (maps/oval setup attached).

Runs for term 2 & 3 - key dates below and calendar at www.carltonjfc.com.au

Parking : Free parking on Royal Parade & Princes Park Drive. The check-in
tent is on Princes Park Drive, so best to park there on first option.

Please Bring – water bottle, footy boots or sneakers and footy jumper if you
have one. Come dressed for the weather to join in (adults and kids!). Cut up
fruit / snacks to share are always welcome.

Arrival – please tick in at the tent – when arriving please tick in and grab a
name tag at the tent to before heading to your group.

Group allocations (see attached) – It’s roughly age based ((Green (4-5),
Yellow (5-6) and Red (7+)), and ok to change to find the right group level or to be
with a friend, please just let us know. We also understand footy might not suit
every kid, so if they’re not enjoying it and/or need a break, that’s no worries. Just
let us know.

o Under 8/9s - The first 10 weeks (Term 2) we’re all on the same oval to
keep things simple early. The older kids (under 8/9) will play intra-club
game on part of our oval, and aim to enter a team in the Yarra JFL in Term 3

o Blue Tackers – a number of toddlers tag along, which we love. There will
be some smaller balls and an informal play area for them near the tent.

o Girls Group – initial groupings are co-ed, but we’ll trial a girls group in
future weeks if preferring time away from the boys! We ran a great trial
with Melbourne Uni Womens FC which generated lots of interest from
some great girls. We really need some energetic women to assist with this
group, if you know anyone interested get in touch.

Assisting – Parents & Carers are encouraged to join in your kid’s group, as we
don’t have excess coaches. It’s fun enjoyable, educational and very helpful - and
your kids will love it.
o If you can offer another help please let us know, some suggestions below

Taking photos, coordinating an event (ie. BBQ after Auskick or a trip
to a Carlton game), arriving early to help with set up, running social
