The Cardiac Arrest Survival Foundation (CASF) is a registered charitable fund that focuses on raising awareness of the most common cause of sudden death in Western society, cardiac arrest. CASF work to improve the accessibility and reliability of Automated external defibrillators (AEDs), especially in public places and workplaces, to ultimately reduce the number of deaths caused by cardiac arrest.
The foundation sell DeFib mats to businesses across Australia. This product, along with the accompanying training video simulates the correct way to operate AEDs. Please refer to the foundation's website for further information.
Now in its second year, and accredited as the official awareness month for cardiac arrest, SHOCTOBER is an initiative that CASF run throughout October.
What do we do?
-We lead research on the proper deployment of defibrillators;
-We raise defib awareness through Shoctober which is now recognized on the -Australian health calendar in October as defib awareness month;
-We donate defibs to the community.
-REGISTER to host a Shoctober event at your workplace and order your DefibMats. Proceeds from these DefibMats are tax deductible and essential to realising the Foundation's mission.
