C&K Highfields and District Kindergarten

At Highfields and District Kindergarten we offer a nurturing and supportive environment, seeing each child as unique and meeting their individual and cultural needs.
Every child is a valued member within our stimulating and inspirational program that fosters curiosity, creativity and imagination. We help children to develop the learning skills that are necessary to create a
sense of belonging and to gain knowledge of their world.
As children’s first educators, family input is valued and respected as Staff and Families work together. We afford many opportunities for our families to engage in their child’s kindergarten journey as we all become
active members of the wider world. Our kindergarten is a place where each child feels cared for and safe to express their ideas and feelings.
The teachers are positive and encourage learning and thinking in all aspects of the program. It is a great place to grow!

CHILDREN ARE OUR NATIONAL TREASURE

We are a double unit Centre with four groups of children attending on a 5 day fortnightly basis. Each group of Kindergarten aged children participate in a play-based educational program, conducted by our dedicated University trained Early Childhood Teachers and their Diploma qualified Assistants.

Our operating hours are 8.10am until 2.50pm from Monday to Friday.

Our door is always open. We cater for children 3.5 to 5 years of age.

C&K Highfields and District Kindergarten provides children with a 30 hour fortnight that encompasses a play based education program from the Queensland Studies Authority approved curriculum; Building waterfalls II.
