Cancer Council SA Gawler Relay For Life

Gawler Relay for Life is an event where teams of 10 to 15 fund raise together to raise much needed funds for Cancer Council SA's fight against cancer. They then partake in a relay style where at least one team member is walking around the oval all the time, throughout the afternoon, night and into the following morning.
All funds raised by the teams go straight to Cancer Council SA to assist them in fighting cancer and supporting those affected by it; including research, education, helpline/counselling and housing for country residents during treatment to name a few.
Throughout the Gawler Relay for Life event there is a celebration of cancer survivors through the Survivors and Carers Lap and the honoring of those lost to cancer through the Candlelight Ceremony. Also the Gawler Relay for Life provides a range of entertainment including a number of bands, games, and food like hot soup to keep participants full of energy throughout the night and into the morning.
You can be a part of this spectacular event by forming a team or joining another team (feel free to contact us for help), registering, being part of the Survivors and Carers Lap (held on Saturday afternoon), attending the Candle light Ceremony (Dusk), donating to a team's fundraising (visit our website) or just attending the event to see what it is all about.
