Canberra College Performing Arts Centre

Here at CCPAC, we have many different spaces for your event, rehearsal or for any other function including a fully operational Theatre, a spacious Dance Studio and a Drama Studio/Rehearsal Room. CCPAC was completed in September of 2012 and is a $9.35m state of the art venue.

The CCPAC Theatre offers 174 seats creating a more intimate experience for the audience and performers. The Theatre’s technical aspects include a cyclorama, projector, two subwoofers, a Maxim lighting console, M-480 Roland sound mixer. The entire venue is also wheelchair accessible and has two spacious dressing rooms for performers. The foyer is equipped with a large Box Office, Cloakroom and Kitchenette which can double as a Bar/ Kiosk.

The CCPAC Dance Studio was built to host a variety of dance groups. Equipped with a surround sound system with points for CD and iPods, full ceiling to floor mirrors with polished wood barre and a Harlequin Allegro semi-sprung floor. Notably the floor provides great protection for dancers due to its point-elasticity and slip resistant dance surface; ideal for contemporary, ballet, modern, hip hop, jazz, street and aerobics dance. Due to the quality of the floor only bare foot or soft dance shoes are permitted.

The CCPAC Drama Studio / Rehearsal Room is a black-box theatre space with a versatile curtain track system allowing for different settings and area spacing.

CCPAC is central to the core business of ensuring quality educational outcomes for students of the performing at Canberra College. Although it remains primarily a teaching and learning facility for the students and teachers, it also provides a very safe and friendly venue choice for active groups in the community, at an affordable price.
