Camellia Grove Nursery opened in 1939 in the Sydney suburb of St Ives. It earned a fine reputation not only for its quality plants, but as a tourist destination for people from all over the world.
The nursery was established by the late Professor E.G. Waterhouse, who won international recognition for his research with camellias.
The Campbell family took on the business in the 1960's and it is now a third generation family business with Ross Campbell the owner and operator.
At the end of 2004, the nursery moved to its present location in Glenorie in Sydney's north-west Hills District.
