Callum has used his ten years experience as a placemaker and community development officer to help communities create great places and develop stronger connections to their neighbourhoods.
He’s most proud of his work building Project Robin Hood, a $100,000 participatory budgeting experiment at the City of Melville developed and run entirely by young people; and the Melbourne Street Place pilot, developing, driving, and testing Adelaide City Council’s placemaking strategy.
He’s also served time as a music & tour manager, and butler (to the governor).
Talk to him about placemaking, participatory budgeting, pantaloons, engagement, community development, local government, working with young people, and the many, many uses of baking soda and vinegar.
