Calavos Rural Fire Brigade is located just outside the little city of Bundaberg. The Brigade is managed and operated solely by volunteers, committed to serving and protecting their community. Queensland Rural Fire Brigades are a part of the QFES family. The primary responsibility of the Rural Brigades is to manage and respond to bushfire threats in the community. This is all done by volunteers. We also play a massive role in supporting Urban operations across the state, in Road accidents, Structural Fires as well as Floods and other incidents. All funds to operate come from local contributions. We are locals, for the locals.
