Cady Andersen - Journalist & Photographer

Currently the editor of the Moree newspaper, I have been a fulltime journalist for six years.
I started out doing work experience at home in Goondiwindi in Year 9 and that’s when I fell in love with the job. I have since worked for the Bingara and Proserpine papers as well as The Land.
I’ve always been interested in photography but I grew more interested when I started taking photos for the newspaper. These days I pretty much don’t go anywhere without my camera.
For work I take photos of everything from events and sports to promotional pieces and more.
In my spare time I take photos of practically everything.
I’ve only just started taking more portrait-style photos and this is an area I am still learning a lot about. I know my work isn’t perfect but I hope I can help others create special memories from my photographs, the way I have.
