Buttah Windee is a small Aboriginal community, located 5 km east of Meekatharra in the Mid-West Region of Western Australia, within the Shire of Meekatharra.Native titleThe community is located within the Registered Wajarri Yamatji Native Title claim area.GovernanceThe community is managed through its incorporated body, Buttah Windee Aboriginal Corporation, incorporated under the Aboriginal Councils and Associations Act 1976 on 16 June 1993.Town planningButtah Windee Layout Plan No.1 has been prepared in accordance with State Planning Policy 3.2 Aboriginal Settlements. Layout Plan No.1 was endorsed by the community on 21 March 2007 and the WAPC on 13 November 2007.
