Moes Longest established Butcher Shop. Butchers On George is situated in George Street, out of the way of all the hustle and bustle but close enough to walk around from the main street. Current Owner Andrew Parniak started his apprenticeship here and after seeking further experience elsewhere came back in 2006 and took over the reins. Major improvements were made to the shopfront with state of the art refrigerated displays installed and major cosmetic changes to give the shop a more modern clean feel, along with self serve shelving showcasing some local chutneys, curry’s, salts and honeys. Andrew buys all his beef locally at the Warragul Beef markets and breaks down carcass on the premises, thus ensuring he always has what you need. Most commonly Larger Black Angus bodies are preferred for their tenderness and stronger beef flavour than vealers. Local Lambs and Pigs are sourced when possible from Gordyns Abattoirs in Sale and Radfords Abattoirs in Warragul. Butchers On George Stock a vast array of traditional cuts in the display everyday ensuring there’s always something to tempt your tastebuds, if not look no further than the ready made meals, gourmet sausages, schnitzels, marinated roasts and family pies all made freshly on the premises. They also take pride in cutting and packing private farm bodys, helping organising for large events and provide a refrigerated delivery Service.
