Bushwick South

Bushwick South is a studio program located in Sydney’s Northern Beaches. More than just studio space for artists, we offer group critique nights, grant application reviews, contacts with affiliated artists and arts organizations in New York City, and an artist page on our website. Bushwick South is an extension of the New York arts community and seeks to promote emerging artists as well as facilitate a cultural exchange between the two cities.

History:
Bushwick South Founder/Director Amber Boardman co-founded The Shirey a studio/exhibition space in Brooklyn NY’s Bushwick arts district in 2009. The Shirey was created as a space for artists to work, share ideas, support other artists and host exhibitions. Amber has existing affiliations with New York-based organizations such as Art Pow Wow, a social network and e-commerce website where selected artists can connect with artists and collectors.
