More about Bunbury Water Bounce Park

Bunbury Water Bounce Park has leased an area at the Koombana Bay beach to provide an inflatable water park of secured floating sports equipment. Equipment is position from the shore edge as far as 120m to the largest floating device.

We have to comply with water depth conditions depending on the equipment, equipment will be anchored in water from 1.2m - 3.5m depth.

The equipment will have a perimeter boundary line which separates our park from general beach goers.

All equipment is targeted at the 10+ age group. There currently is not equipment for children younger than 5 years, however if there is a successful summer 2014/2015 we would like to bring in more equipment next summer and cater for younger children.

The park will be patrolled by qualified lifesaving personnel who will be supervising water park patrons and maintaining water safety within our operational area.

All safety standards will comply with the Europen Standard for flotation devices EN15649 (Australia is yet to develop its own) and Australian Standards where applicable.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY AND CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES

- We are promoting the "Keep Watch" initiative which is active supervision and participation by parent or guardian for younger children UNDER 10.

- The under 10 safety rule is determined on the lack of physical strength (not swimming skill) kids under 10 require to play on the equipment. It can be tiring pulling yourself up on the equipment for extended periods so the younger kids fatigue quickly and need the extra help in the water.

- Every person must be capable of pulling themselves on and off the equipment as the lifeguards are there to attend person's in distress not help people use the equipment.

- All customers must wear a Personal Flotation Device

- All customers must sit a short induction prior to entry of the water

- No alcohol, glassware or sharp objects permitted within the water park operating area

- Customers consent to photographs or video that we take of you for may be used for our commercial purposes without payment to you

- Medical conditions must be reported upon registering

- Smoking is NOT permitted within the water park beach perimeter boundary

- You may be refused entry or evicted for inappropriate behaviour or under the influence of drugs and alcohol

- We may close the water park on a temporary or permanent basis due to inclement weather, marine wildlife, safety, maintenance, acts of God, emergency situation or any other reason where customer safety cannot be guaranteed

- Customers are responsible for assessing whether they can participate. Using this equipment is of a sporting nature and carries inherent risk of injury. Customers should seek medical advice if uncertain or discuss it with our Water Safety personnel

- Customers must act with consideration for both yourself and others. You have a duty of care to refrain from behaviour that could compromise your safety or the safety of others

- Customers must agree to comply with Water Safety Personnel instructions at all time. Non-compliance will result in removal from park and a possible ban on re-entry imposed

- Customers are responsible for their own personal property. We will not be held responsible for damage of loss of your property

- The ‘Keep Watch’ guidelines published by the Royal Life Saving Australia recommend adults actively supervise children under 10 at all times.
