INFORMATION …

. Before your spray tan, please ensure you have showered and thoroughly exfoliated, please do not wear any moisturisers, deodorants or perfumes to your appointment as this will affect the tans results. At the appointment you will also be asked to remove any Jewellery.
You will be provided with a protective hairnet and a disposable G-string to wear for the tan, if you are a Regular Tanner and feel more comfortable providing your own that is completely fine.

After your tan, it is best to wear loose dark clothing, try to avoid touching the tan with your hands (as you don’t want tanned palms) and stay away from rain, or splashing water.
When the time comes, shower in warm (not too hot) water, use a tiny amount of gentle body wash and keep the shower time to a minimum. You will notice the bronzer washing off. Do not panic, this is just the bronzer. Shower until the water runs clear, to ensure this bronzer has been removed. You will be left with the tan, which remains. Do not be alarmed when your Rapid tan appears not to have worked; you may shower it off after just one to two hours but it will continue to develop after showering


PROLONGING YOUR TAN …

After showering gently pat your skin dry instead of rubbing. Once you have showered off your tan apply moisturiser (not body oil as this will affect your tan) both morning and night to help prolong your tan. The more you moisturise the better!
Take care when exercising, as heavy sweating may cause your tan to fade unevenly and prematurely
Avoid long, hot showers and especially baths as well as visiting swimming pools and Jacuzzis for long periods of time as it will shorten the life of your tan.
Avoid waxing as this will remove your tan and try to avoid excessive shaving as this will affect your tan as well.

REMEMBER….

Remember that your spray tan does not contain any SPF so you still need to apply your SPF daily
Some medications can affect your tan. Antibiotics can stay in your system for up to four weeks (sometimes longer) and alter the PH of your skin which can result in the tan not developing to its full potential or
Another thing to take into consideration before having a spray tan is medication. Ideally you shouldn’t have a spray tan for four weeks after completing a course of topical or oral antibiotics as they can stay in your system for quite a while. Certain antibiotics can alter the skins PH thus creating orange effects or not allowing the tan to develop as it would normally.
If breast-feeding, please inform your therapist, so she can avoid the breast and nipple area. It is also a good idea to wear a bikini top to ensure baby’s safety.
Remember it’s better to fake it, not bake it!

Hello, my name is Shona … and I’m a Tan Addict
After at least 100 spray tans in a 5 year period, good and bad …I still couldn’t find a salon that came up to scratch
One salon I went to would use sticky feet but not barrier cream !?
The next salon would use barrier cream but no sticky feet or a hairnet!?
Then another salon, who would charge over $40.00 for a tan … had never even heard of sticky feet, barrier cream or hairnets ….
So I decided to try a local MOBILE spray tanner,
My sister and I eagerly awaited her arrival at our house, only to be severely disappointed …
Absolutely no care was taken to protect the floor under the tent, or the surrounding area, we were offered only a disposable g-string … no barrier cream, no hair net and no sticky feet … and then to top it all off we paid $30.00 for a 8 hour tan that was gross, sticky and came out way to dark for us.
I was in absolute shock …. Seriously, “it cannot be that hard to provide a quality tan and quality service”
I wanted to be bronze and beautiful, without yucky palms, brown soles of my feet or scummy hair … and I at least wanted the option of a 2 hour tan ( seriously, no one enjoys the sticky after tan feeling… why should we leave it on any longer than we have to )
Without getting ripped off!
So lying in bed that night, sticky and uncomfortable, counting down the minutes till I could shower off my 8 hour solution … I realised, If you really want something done right, you have to do it yourself
“If no one is going to provide the Spray Tan service I want … I’ll do it myself”
