HOW TO JOIN BWRC?

Good to know you are interest in rowing with us.

Rowing/Sculling is one of the world’s most highly technical sports and needs patience to master.

We have been operating for over 10 years. The club operates every Sat & Sun at 6.30am. (More proficient rower/scullers may row at any time).

We meet at the compound behind Gosford Olympic Pool and launch our boats at the beach adjacent to the Gosford Sailing Club (north side)

We train twelve months of the year with race season beginning in Sept. through to May every year. Alternatively, you can remain a social rower but racing gives one a measurable way to keep fit.

We welcome those who wish to return to rowing and those interested in giving it a go for the first time.

For those returning to rowing Brisbane Water Rowing Club membership fees are $270 per annum due in July.

For newcomers to rowing we run a learn to row program. The cost of the program is $50 and includes 4 sessions of approx. 1.5 hours each. To participate in the Learn to Row program you must be over the age of 14 and able to swim 100m fully clothed; you should be in good health and ideally have a healthy BMI.
