Brighter Futures Lending Hands is a Not for Profit company established in 2016 by a community lead board of directors all of whom have employment services, training and mentoring backgrounds.
Incorporated with the objective to “Lend a hand to the unemployed to develop skills and confidence in themselves for the betterment of community” the board’s vision is to “Show community what the unemployed can truly contribute”.
Brighter Futures Lending Hands projects are tailored around these five core values:
1. Paid employment local people that have been long tern unemployed to supervise activities
2. Focus on developing skills in people that the community actually need
3. Growth in participants by supporting them to build confidence and value to the business sector
4. Promoting to business houses the skills and abilities their local unemployed neighbours have that can add value to a business’s operation
5. Showcase to the community the low cost output that can be achieved through empowering and engaging the unemployed to work for the betterment of community
