More about Bridgewater Angus

The Flower family began farming in 1879 when Roger's great grandfather, son of an english immigrant, Frederick Flower took up a selection in the Bega Valley.
Roger's father Geoff Flower and family made the move to the New England in 1963.
Roger and I returned to the district in 1996 and purchased Myola at Black Mountain. We have been breeding Angus cattle for the past 21 years. Firstly purchasing 200 Hazeldean blood angus heifers from Witacoola Pastoral company, Mulaley and 50 heifers from Sam White at Bald Blair Angus, Guyra. Our goal has been to produce high performance weaners with high growth rates and marbling which have consistently performed well in the feedlot market. Bridgewater steers were one of the top performers in the Angus Benchmarking program, Cohorts 1,2 and 3.
We run a herd of 700 angus females of which 200 are registered APR and HBR stud cows, over two properties, Myola and Westview. We were fortunate to purchase 21 stud cows from the recent Wattletop dispersal sale (stage 1) and look forward to seeing their progeny on the ground within the next few weeks. We are proud of our operation and welcome visitors.
