Brennan & Geraghty's Store is a museum about itself and its place in the community of Maryborough, Queensland. Originally opened in April 1871 and traded until 1972. The last owner closed the store intact with its contents of unsold stock such as curry powder from the 1880s through to toilet paper from the 1950s, the family left behind a collection of over 100,000 items all provenanced to the store. The National Trust purchased the property with associated family houses in 1975 and began the restoration process. The Store opened as a museum in November 1990.
