Bream Creek Community Market Garden

We are a not for profit recently incorporated organisation that aims to provide fresh local produce to the community at convenient locations and venues where there is otherwise little available.

Using principals of permaculture and organic growing practices, we have been setting up permanent raised beds, a dedicated irrigation system and many other innovations on our small block where we bio-intensively produce vegetables for sale at our three venues and wholesale to restaurants and veg box companies like Backyard Bounty.

We aim to provide a work for the dole facility as well as expanding employment to local people as much as is feasible. Eventually we hope to be able to offer components of horticulture qualifications to people engaged in these studies with their volunteering work with the garden.

Most people in our area have ample space to have their own vegie garden, however there are people that would prefer to garden together with friends (old or new), and there are many that are unable to commit to the sometimes large responsibility of managing their own garden whilst juggling career, family and a social life. Again, a Community Garden provides the perfect solution, we will soon provide a place for the kids to play and also a place to relax and reflect upon the work achieved.
