Brand New Day

WHAT WE DO
This service utilises the Kelso Community Hall each Sunday from 3.00pm.We are a low key gathering, meeting with those who wish to learn further about our Lord God and his son Jesus and his works with fun activities, prayers and songs. Everybody is welcome.

We invite you to be a part as we gather together every Sunday, the day of resurrection and the beginning of the week, to remember that we are living in a brand new day.

Adults and children alike are welcomed into a worshipping community with a fresh expression of Anglican liturgy.

AIM
In all we do we desire to be accessible and welcoming to people who may not have any experience of church worship. However, we also want to have an emphasis on ‘being church’ rather than merely ‘going to church’. To do this we want to encourage people in what it means to live in the resurrection life of Jesus, in his new creation which is captured in the name ‘Brand New Day’.

Our aim is to be a place where people can serve and use their God-given gifts and abilities as well as be blessed by the ministry provided. As we grow, what is guiding us is a love for Jesus and his gospel, a love for scripture and teaching, a love for each other and the community around us.

The ministries we seek to provide are a Sunday school, a crèche, a parents room, a communal meal; along with a music team and a strong teaching and pastoral ministry. These ministries will coincide with a desire to participate in missional opportunities to the local community. We also look to ensure that the time, technology and shape of the service meets these aims.

Welcome to a brand new day.

Today is a brand new day for the Parish of Holy Trinity, Kelso. A new service is being launched entitled “Brand New Day” as a part of the mission and ministry of the Parish to the growing community of Kelso. This initial launch will work towards a full launch in 2012.
