Box Hill Little Athletics Club

Season 2016/17 is set to be an exciting year for athletics right across the country with the Rio Olympic games sparking interest in Track and Field. If you are new to athletes and have recently been inspired by the Olympics, we extend you a very warm welcome and hope you find fun and fulfilment as you participate in the Box Hill Little Athletics program.

For many of you returning to Box Hill, it’s huge welcome back from us and we look forward to the exciting developments and achievements our athletes will make over the months ahead.

Little Athletics is a fantastic program that strikes a good balance between developmental progression and presenting kids with the challenge of competition. Our program is structured to focus on developing confidence, body awareness and agility among young children (U6-U10) and progresses to more complex and challenging activities as the kids get older and become more experienced (U11-U15). At the heart of it all however, is a focus on fun and enjoying time with friends.

As a parent or guardian you’ll also play an important role in delivering an enjoyable program for athletes. Each week more than 100 parents work together to help run the program and it simply wouldn’t work without them. We want to thank you in advance for your assistance, our centre has benefited tremendously from an involved parent group and it makes an enormous difference to each child’s experience. There’s lots of ways to keep in touch with news and key information about the program. While our website is the hub for all information, we also have an App you can download and a Facebook page you can connect with. Aside from these digital options, you’ll always be welcome to speak with any of our friendly committee members.
