The company started as Hinchinbrook Air Services and has been operating in North Queensland since 1971.

With so many years experience, Bob Harris' Flying School has an excellent reputation and students from all over Australia come to train here. With dedicated grade 1 flying instructors, in-house testing, and on-site student accommodation, it will be easier to achieve your goals with very high standards.

Our home base, Innisfail, offers the definite financial advantages of having four possible take-off directions, no ferry time to training areas, low landing fees and no delays due to ATC or heavy traffic. It is close to Cairns, so controlled airspace is available at the appropriate stage of training.

For IFR training, all navigation aids and approaches are available in the area between Innisfail, Cairns and Mareeba.
