Blue Cottage Bruny Island

Blue Cottage Bruny Island is self contained 2 bedroom cottage in Alonnah South Bruny Island with fabulous views across the D' Entrecasteaux Channel to the Hartz Mountains. Sit back and relax watching the sunset over Sunset Bay from the deck enjoying the local gourmet food that can be found on the way to Blue Cottage.

There is a lovely walk along the foreshore which is great for birdwatching or wild flower spotting this track is a easy walk takes around 1/2 hour, it usually takes a little longer because of the seats along the track which are nice to take in the views.

Alonnah has a great beach good for a little beach combing, swimming, snorkelling, kayaking and boat ramp.
The pontoon is the spot for dropping a fishing line from, seals have been seen from there along with dolphins all this a 300meter walk from Blue Cottage.

One of the pleasures of staying in Alonnah is to be able to walk along the beach to the corner shop to pickup supplies or enjoy a excellent meal at Bruny Hotel (it is a good idea to book) this takes around 10minutes or 2 minutes by car.

A good vantage point from the deck to see Aurora Australis (southern lights) you need to check daily on the Internet to see if there is any activity.

A visit to the penguin rookery at sunset is alway a fun part of a visit to Bruny Island along with exploring the light house or enjoying one of the many walks we have maps and walk info from National Parks at Blue Cottage.

Blue Cottage has a full size kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom with separate toilet and laundry it sleeps 4 it is more suitable for adults.

1st bedroom has queen size bed the room is heated.
2nd bedroom has 2 single beds the room is heated.
All towels and linen supplied.

Kitchen is fully equipped there is a coffee machine, tea, herbal teas and sugar for your arrival.

Lounge dinning area has wood heater with good wood supply and electrical heater. TV, DVD player, sound system that you can use your own playlist with Bluetooth connect or our own playlist on iPod also a small selection of DVDs to enjoy.

BBQ and outdoor table on the deck.

Bathroom is heated, toilet roll, hairdryer and toiletries are supplied.

Laundry - washing machine, dryer, iron, ironing board, clothes line and airer.

Bruny Island has so many great things to do it is recommended that you call in to the Tourist Information office at the ferry depot at Kettering also check out whats on the internet.
