Having completed a BA Health Sciences and Secondary teaching and then becoming a Health Teacher.. I had many ideas of what Children 'should' be eating, but trying to find healthy snacks to feed my once dairy and wheat sensitive little ones..drove me bonkers and led me to making Bliss Balls on a weekly basis.
I love anything sweet and creating refined sugar free treats means that there is no guilt attached in sharing the love with those around me!
It was whilst breastfeeding my youngest child and devouring Lactation cookies that I baked regularly, that I first trialled creating the lactation cookies in bliss ball form. A healthier option, especially for those avoiding dairy and wanting a quick energy burst in the 5 seconds that we tend to get to eat (one handed of course :) ).
The yummy flavours and protein rich ingredients are even a draw card for my tradie hubby, especially after a gym sesh!
