Blacktown Speech Pathology has been providing speech and language assessments and intervention in the local area for over 25 years. We have strong links to local Early Intervention Agencies, Preschool's and School's.

We also work with Paediatricians & Medical Practices in the area.

There are five qualified speech pathologists at our Stanley Street address who consistently work with children 5 days a week.

At Blacktown Speech Pathology we aim to improve communication and daily living skills by providing comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic services to children aged between 2 years and 16 years.

Our goal is to maximize our client's potential by working collaboratively with families, schools and other professionals.

What is a Language Disorder?
Language disorders are usually defined as receptive / express and pragmatic.

Receptive Language Disorder's refer to difficulties understanding or processing language.

Expressive Language Disorder's include difficulties expressing wants, needs or thoughts.

Pragmatic Language Disorders uses language in a socially appropriate manner.

What is a Speech Disorder?
A speech disorder is an impairment of production (articulation) of speech sounds, fluency or voice.
