Black Rock Myotherapy

Our aim is to help improve mobility, function and overall health and quality of life through a holistic approach to treatment, by bringing a broad range of knowledge to the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders and injuries.

Our custom built clinic offers the perfect environment to provide our core service of Myotherapy. We have three dedicated private rooms for our highly qualified therapists to assess and treat our clients. We are also in the process of building a modern and fully equipped gym alongside the treatment rooms, where we will offer corrective exercises and Pilates in the future. We cater for all ages, abilities and levels from elite athletes to clients needing rehabilitation.


OUR PRACTITIONERS

* Kevin Poon / B.H.Sc (Clinical Myotherapy) *
Kevin has many years of experience working as a professional Myotherapist, and takes a holistic approach to soft tissue pathologies. He incorporates many modalities available to resolve pain and range of movement limitations.

* Claire Barnes / B.H.Sc (Clinical Myotherapy) *
Since graduating in 2013 Claire has been working in private practices within Melbourne, and is currently working towards achieving her Pilates certification to assist with core strength and rehabilitation. Claire is currently on maternity leave!

* Brigid McNicholas / B.H.Sc (Clinical Myotherapy) *
Since completing her qualification in 2008, Brigid has worked in a range of roles within the health industry in both Melbourne and Queenstown, including work as a Clinical Myotherapist, Massage Therapist, and Nutrition Coach.


2016 FEE STRUCTURE

Hour long appointment times allow for a comprehensive history and thorough examination to be undertaken, with goals for treatment set at the first session. This ensures a correct diagnosis is made and an appropriate treatment plan implemented. All initial consultations are 1 hour.
