Black Mountain Roadhouse

The GREAT BLACK MOUNTAIN ROADHOUSE is located 25 km North of Armidale on New England Highway, right across the Thunderbolt's Cave and just before Australia’s largest and “arguably” Southern Hemisphere’s largest Tomato Glass House. It is one of the oldest roadhouses on New England Highway which has withstood the ups and downs of the times where its other competitors have faded away. Sitting on top of the Devil’s Pinch, 10 km short of Guyra the Roadhouse is one of the highest service stations across Australia (altitude wise).It has a unique character and tradition and is a leading icon of its time.

The roadhouse is famous for its high quality and low priced BP fuel, its vast variety of Rosie’s chicken, dine in or takeaway meals, free hot showers and great accommodation on offer.
